2012 Auditions October 2 & 9!
We're excited to be kicking off our 2012 season with our upcoming auditions!
Audtions will be held in the heart of Central Ohio, within walking distance of Ohio State University, at Ultimate Sports Center. Here are all of the details:
Date: October 2 & 9
Time: 1:00PM to 6:00PM
Location: Ultimate Sports Center, 1200 Steelwood Road, Suite B, Grandview Heights , OH, 43212. This is just off the Ohio State University campus.

All Fundraising is done at the OSU campus at the Schottenstein Center, St. John Arena, or the OSU stadium!

2011 Auditions September 26th
Art 101 of Columbus, OH will be holding auditions on September 26 from 11am-7pm. Art 101 is a multiple time WGI IA finalist and a frequent WGI IA semifinalist. Auditions will be held at the Sports Center at 1200 Steelwood Road, Suite B Grandview Heights, OH 43212. This location is adjacent to The Ohio State University, making it a location central within the city and easily accessible for all members.

2011 Staff Introduced
Our 2011 design staff includes:
Jeff Wroblewski is the founder of J. Enterprises Inc., a visual design company that provides quality services and products worldwide. He has served on many creative teams and is a highly respected innovator of the contemporary pageantry arts as a designer, clinician, adjudicator and teacher. He has designed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and Asia. Jeff gained worldwide recognition for his visual designs and teaching with the DCI World Champion Star of Indiana, The Cavaliers, Bluecoats, Sacramento Freelancers, Brigadiers, Crusaders drum and bugle corps in addition to numerous competitive marching bands. As well as serving on the WGI Steering committee, WGI Colorguard Advisory Board and WGI Board of Directors, Jeff has designed for many winterguard units including; The WGI Open Class Champion Franklin Central HS, WGI World Champion Cavaliers, WGI Silver Medalist Warren Central HS, Nolan Independent, WGI Class A Finalist Chesterton, WGI World Class Finalist Cypress lake HS. His most recent collaborations abroad include Cadence drum and bugle corps (DCUK Champions), the Pride of Bristol Winterguard (WGUK Bronze medalist) and Pegasus Winterguard from Bristol England. Art 101 is excited to welcome Jeff to our design team for 2011.
Jimi Burciaga resides in Dayton, OH where he works for a financial institution. He has taught high school fall guards and winter guards across the country. Jimi has performed with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps (97, 98), the R2 Performance Group (98,99, 00), and The Crown Guard (01, 02), amongst others. He is a student with the Dayton Ballet School and has traveled with several different dance companies. Jimi is currently on staff with the Miamisburg World winter guard where he has been teaching movement since 2003. We are excited to welcome Jimi to his first year with Art 101 in 2011.
Kriss Davis, executive director and founder of Art 101, is the current A Class Representative to the WGI Color Guard Advisory Board. Kriss performed with the Canton Blue Coats, Brass Factory and Steel City Ambassadors Drum Corps. He has been the director of several fall and winter guards throughout central Ohio. He is a Central States and National Judges Association adjudicator in VE, VI, Visual GE, and Color Guard and an OMEA adjudicator in FC and Color Guard. Kriss has also been on staff of several successful SA and IA percussion ensembles.
Christie Dunlay is a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati studying Special Education. She was a member of Art 101 (01, 03, 08), Onyx (06), and the Miami University color guard where she was the captain for two years (05, 06), amongst other performing experiences. Christie also directs the Ross High School winter guard (IRA) and has consulted with several fall guards throughout Ohio. She has been on staff with Art 101 and Southwest Independent since 2006.
Jonathan Lischak is currently the Director of Bands at Ada High School. He is pursuing a Masters in Music Education from Boston University. In addition to his teaching Jonathan is active as an adjudicator, clinician, designer and instructor around the country including Medina High School, Louisville High School, Field High School, New Philadelphia High School, Bands of American, the Mid East Performance Association, and the Ohio Indoor Performance Association, as well as independent drum corps, wind ensembles, and winter color guards around Ohio. Jonathan has been a member of the Art 101 design and instructional team since 2009.
Sean Stone is a professional gymnastics coach in Columbus, Ohio. He is also an alumnus of Onyx (09, 10) and ACT 1 (08, 07) Sean has instructed several guards in Virginia, and we are excited to have him on the staff with Art 101 for the 2011 season.
2011 ART101 Instructional staff includes: Caren Davis, Jennilee Price, Jessie Balmert, Jessica Justice, Jennifer Stapleton, Rhonda Rothe, and Rory Francis.
