HOT NEWS

Level Seven Percussion is pleased to announce the return of 2006 Front Ensemble member Mary Posani to the group for the remainder of the 2007 competition season!

Mary will be playing marimba and other auxiliary percussion, and will begin practicing with us immediately, and will be in the show as soon as she is up to speed with the music.

Please take a moment when you can to welcome her back to the Level Seven family.

Welcome back, Mary, we missed you!

WEEKEND SCHEDULE:

This weekend begins the third portion of the contest season, the last run before the Championships. We will be competing in two TSC contests this weekend, and as stated before, it will be an overnight trip. But since the overnight stay will be very brief, we have opted for housing near the competition sites. This will allow us to keep our costs down and use the money for our stay in Dayton for next month's WGI World Championships. The stay will be a corps-style camp out (just without the the diesel bus exhaust and the stench of sunscreen) where we will be camped on the floor in sleeping bags. This is the last overnighter before World Championships (where we will stay at the same hotel we did for the Dayton regional last week...NICE!)

Saturday March 17th, practice at BLENDON MIDDLE SCHOOL, Westerville, from 10am - 4pm. Complete practice, pack trailer, leave Columbus, grab QUICK dinner en route (no Bob Evans). Arrive at Ryle HS, Union, Kentucky approximately 7:15 pm. Performance time: 9:10pm. Awards at 9:29pm. Pack up equipment, move to housing (possibly right at Ryle HS). Snack, meeting, study time, relax time, lights out at midnight.

Sunday March 18th, rise and shine at 7:30 am, breakfast at the school. If the facility permits it, we may have a brief practice on site (no more than 1.5 hours). Get ready for show, pack up gear, travel to Conner HS, Hebron, Kentucky (literally up against the airport), arrive at noon, perform at 1:37. Awards at 1:47. We are the last group on in percussion. Pack up equipment, get out of uniforms, and be on the road no later than 3pm for a 5pm arrival in Columbus.

We need to try to get back in town as early as possible, due to a large number of students having finals next week.

Please don't forget your uniforms and all associated parts! Also, a sleeping bag and pillow...

SCHOTTENSTEIN CENTER INFO:

One date has been added to the Schottenstein Center schedule:

Friday, April 6th, Eric Clapton - we need 3-4 adults to work, with one being a trained leader.

I will also be starting to get volunteers to sign up for Ohio State Baseball games and Columbus Clippers games in the next week. We would like as many of you to sign up as possible, and any credit earned will carry over into next season if you are caught up on dues for this year.

MEMBERSHIP DUES:

Reminder that ALL membership dues for the year are to be completely turned in by Sunday, April 15th. I am working right now with our accountant to make an up-to-the-minute update of everyone's status, and will send each person their totals.

Sponsorships are always welcome and can be sent in at anytime. Let me know if you need the form.

MEDICAL/CONSENT FORMS:

Several of you still owe me your Medical and Consent forms, please see to it that I get those as soon as possible!

MASTER SCHEDULE

A complete master schedule for the rest of the season will be e-mailed in the next 1-2 days, with ALL practice times and locations listed. Here's a sneak preview:

Almost ALL practices will be held at Blendon Middle School or Vineyard Church of Columbus, with the occasional Watterson music practice. As of right now, only one practice is slated for Madison Plains, and that is tentatively scheduled for Saturday March 31, the day of MEPA Championships in Centerville...just 40 minutes from Plains...

Stay tuned for the finalized schedule.

If you have any questions, never hesitate to e-mail or call me (286-0730).

Thanks,
