TSC and MEPA Championship Weekend Info
Hard to believe the regular season comes to a
close this weekend...It was this weekend last year that the season
concluded...However, we still much ahead of us and lot of hard work to do to
get where we need to be. We have two regional circuit championships ahead of
us this weekend, then we perform at WGI in three weeks. So there is still
plenty of time to improve upon what we have already done...there's a ton of
incentive to work for!
It's a busy weekend for us all, so we need to be
re-energized and ready to repeat as gold medallist on Friday night...and eat
the M&M's together...
FRIDAY
(note the new time):
We are incorporating the practice time Friday into
our evening trip, so this may sound a little hectic...
Meet at Watterson by 4:30pm. PLEASE GET A RIDE OR
CARPOOL WITH ONE OF THE DRIVERS!!! This is important because the school
musical will be held that night and they don't want all of our cars in the
lot...I realize there might be one or two exceptions, but we need to do our
best to not have any cars in the lot.
Leave Watterson at 4:45pm. Bring what you plan to
eat for dinner with you, so you can eat on the way to the show.
Arrive at Ryle HS for TSC Championships at approx.
7pm. Immediately go to the check-in table, drop uniform bags at our designated
spot, use restrooms, then unload trailer.
7:15 - 7:30pm - unload trailer
7:30 - 8:00pm - battery warmup and sectional, down
the hill from equipment drop-off, front ensemble same, but along the sidewalk
at equipment drop-off (or nearby)
8:00 - 8:30 full ensemble music run-throughs
8:30pm - move equipment to the door where we are
supposed to bring in the stuff and line up, then go upstairs and get dressed
in full uniform, report back to the equipment move line ASAP
Warmup time is approximately 9:25pm
LEVEL SEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP PERFORMANCE TIME IS
9:55pm.
FULL RETREAT IN UNIFORM will follow Tates Creek's
Exhibition Performance.
Load trailer afterwards
Leave Ryle HS by 11:15pm
1:15am - arrive at Watterson
SATURDAY
Meet at Watterson (location might change) at
1:00pm.
Leave for Centerville at 1:30pm
Arrive Centerville HS approximately 2:45 pm
Do normal unload/uniform routine
Perform MEPA CHAMPIONSHIPS at 5:22 pm
FULL RETREAT IN UNIFORM will follow Matrix's
performance.
Load trailer afterwards. Leave Centerville
approximately 7:00pm. Arrive back at Watterson at 8:15pm.
SUNDAY
Absolutely, positively NOTHING going on.
NOTE:
I will be driving my van to University of Dayton
Arena with five riders to assist with Southwest Independent's tarp at MEPA
Colorguard Championships. They will be returning the favor later that
afternoon as our front ensemble equipment movers, so our usual crew of parents
can actually WATCH the show for once! i would like for the Captains to be
included. We would need to leave earlier (around 12:15) and go straight to UD
Arena. I will e-mail you directly if you will be assigned to help with the
tarp for the guard. You will not be in uniform for this!
