Banquet Time

The time has come to start thinking about our annual Banquet. We take a moment to recognize the casts, staff, and family and friends that made this year happen. Be sure to reserve your spot, pay your dues, and enjoy the night at Der Dutchman; for this is the last time we will ever come together as this group. Next year will be a different group. This group can never be replicated. Make memories.

Our History

We are currently looking to add our history page back to the website. It will be located on the Alumni section of the website and should be up shortly after WGI Championships weekend. I am looking for pictures, stories, scores, and any information from our Alumni that you'd like to see on our website. Please send all information about the history of our guards to our Alumni@art101online.com email.

It's Time

Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion is pleased to announce the return of Southwest Independent to active competition for the 2008 season!

2008 will be the fifth season of Independent competition for Southwest, and they will perform as a member of the Ohio Indoor Performance Association (OIPA) and the Mid East Performance Association (MEPA), where they were the 2007 Independent Regional A Silver Medalist color guard. In 2006, Southwest was a Tri-State Circuit (TSC) Independent Regional A Finalist, where they placed fourth out of 36 color guards. In 2005, Southwest was the MEPA Independent Regional A runner-up Champion, and in 2004, they were the Tri-State Circuit Sprit de Corps Medal Honoree.

Creative Staff

Central Ohio Winter Color Guards and Percussion is also pleased to welcome Michael Lentz from Onyx World Color Guard to the creative staff for the 2008 season, as well as several other Open and World class instructors who will work with Art101 and the rest of the Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion family.

Southwest Independent is a member of Central Ohio Winter Color Guard and Percussion, a non-profit youth organization based in Columbus, Ohio, that exists to share positive experiences, encourage individual growth through education, nourishment of leadership skills, discipline, and pride while evoking creativity and artistic freedom of expression through the combination of pageantry and the performing arts.
